Press Release Body: Consumer Electronics Live! Manila 2008 (CEL Manila), the biggest and most exciting gathering of the latest, most advanced technologies in the newest and coolest of gadgets, devices and equipment, opens to the public today, Oct. 24, 2008 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City. Produced and organized by Summit Live!, CEL Manila is scheduled to run daily until Sunday, Oct. 26, from 10am to 8pm.
On its first year, CEL Manila focuses on bringing the latest innovations to the tech-savvy Filipinos as the whole exhibit carries the unified theme of experiencing technology. CEL Manila encourages participants and guests to not just look and see the displays but to touch, feel, listen and completely experience what the exhibitors have to offer. "We truly want everybody to experience the new products presented and to relate to the exhibit as a whole so we made the concept of technology experiential. We had to translate technology into something everybody can fully feel and understand veering away from the usual idea that technology is cold, clinical or complicated. And we are glad our exhibitors supported us in this thrust," explains Maricar Parco, General Manager of Summit Live!
With exhibit area of over 9,000 square meters, Summit Live! makes CEL Manila a major event comparable to electronics exhibits held in other countries like the U.S. and Singapore. "This is just the beginning. We plan to hold this type of exhibit annually to update the industry and the consumer market on the technology that matters to them. So expect us again next year for a bigger and more exciting CEL Manila," Parco states.
To make the event even more exciting for guests, exhibitors are expected to offer promotions exclusive to the event. Canon is expected discounts of up to 40% on selected cameras while Myscreen will be giving 70% off on select products. Free Sun Cellular Broadband subscription is also bundled with the purchase of any HP laptop or personal computers. CEL Manila is also expected to giveaway Nokia & Samsung mobile phones in the daily gadget giveaway.
Thousand of visitors are expected to troop to the SMX over the weekend to experience technology. "It is an exhibit for everybody. Families will definitely enjoy here as there are a lot of products available for kids, moms and dads, even grandparents. From the hardcore to the practical, they are all here, under one roof," Parco ends. CEL Manila showcases the latest products and services in audio, video, digital imaging, computer products, home entertainment, home appliances, mobile and wireless electronic technology for all ages.
CEL Manila is presented by T3, the country's leading technology magazine in cooperation with Clear Men Formula 2.0. Major exhibitors are Apple/ Senco, Canon, HP, LG Electronics, Nokia, Samsung and Sony. There are also exhibits from Alpine, BMW, Bose, Creative, Fuji Xerox, JBL, Lucerne, Mazda, Myphone, Sennheiser and Western Digital.
Entrance Fee is set at P50.00 but waived when you bring your Oct. issue of T3.
